Mueller Water is looking for a Technical Sales Representative to join our leading sales team in Houston, Texas. You will be responsible for driving revenue and profit growth through our programs and services in targeted accounts. Utilizing a consultative sales approach, you will build and maintain relationships with existing customers, ensuring their key business needs are met through our system assurance programs. Additionally, you will convert strategic competitive accounts and introduce new technologies to current customers.

What You Will Do:
- Generate and execute sales plans within the existing customer base and competitively-held accounts to achieve profit growth goals.
- Collaborate closely with current and prospective customers to understand their business needs, recommending continuous improvement and innovation plans.
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including plant or facility executives.
- Provide technical support to customers, identifying and resolving challenges, and escalating issues as needed.
- Engage in problem-solving through system analysis, data interpretation, and providing written recommendations to ensure optimal customer operations.
- Actively promote and support Mueller Water innovations and technology to foster long-term business relationships.
Position Details:
- Candidate must reside within a commutable distance from Houston, TX.
- The territory covers a 75-mile radius of the surrounding area.
- Targeted accounts are within the chemical industries.
- 5% overnight travel required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in technical sales or field sales support.
- Valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to drive a company vehicle as required for job duties (pre-employment and ongoing motor vehicle record checks will determine eligibility).
- Ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial) or life sciences (biology, chemistry, etc.).
- Experience in the water treatment or specialty chemical industry.
- Working knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems.
